For what it's worth, I liked 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 11, and 12. 1 was also quite good. It really is amazing to see God's splendor in nature. There is such an order to it that just defies any other explanation. It's really cool.

Actually... I got really lucky and stopped at a store that most of us know... but don't know this little fact.... (I did, that's why I went there ...) The largest flower vendor in the U.S. Know what it is? KROGERS. They sell more flowers than any other florist in the nation... so I got really lucky and stoppedi n the B.G. Krogers... the lady working hooked me up with all these flowers for 3 bucks... see... after they have them out for 5 days they can't sell them cuz they're gonna die in a few days... So they put them in back until they throw them out... So these are all un-sellable.... OR.... really cheap.... She gave me the fat hook-up... And yes, they all were dying in 3 days despite fresh water and flower food... and re-cutting the stems... no nutrients from soil... lack of sun... lack of roots.... buh bye flowers. They spent their remaining days in Sarah's room.... I'm such a great boyfriend... ::thinks back on conversation::

"Here honey... have a bunch of dying flowers that I picked up for 3 bucks...."

WOW Brent.. that's just beautiful... I want your camera and your oh-so-great skills... Although number 2 won't come up on my computer for some reason, my FAVORITES are 5 and 6. They're amazing.. will you send me a copy so i can make them my desktop?! Third place for me is 10. I like the offset and the symmetry of the core. The petals have great smooth detail and best yet- it's yellow! BTW: what flower shop did you raid??

I agree that #4 is a little too out of focus to fit, and if I had to eliminate any others (which I would hate to do) I was also struck with the idea that the ones in bud did not necessarily fit with the ones in full bloom. Beautiful work though!!

See *I* like 4 a lot because the focus is different. The part you focused on is the most neccessary part of the flower, but it's the part people don't want to see. Tell your professor that it's a metaphor for society, you'll get extra points.

Hm. I don't know... you said #9 is out. I really like #1 - the green looks like praying hands, and the veins are incredible... it's pointed up (left) to heaven, too... #2 also looks like it's 'praising' to me... if I'm gonna go with the 'praise' theme, #3 and #4 just don't fit. #5 and #6 and #7 #8 and #12 do... but #10 doesn't - I'm not gonna tell you what I see there, due to the horizontal of it... #11 kinda fits, but it's not quite facing heavenward... (but then, I'm a perfectionist...)

So what does that leave? 1,2,5,6,7,8,12 and possibly 11... that's just eight. You may wish to disregard this comment. ((LoL!!))
