I am encouraged by your dedication to focusing on Christ and His cause.  Although we don’t need special conferences or meetings to worship Him or regain focus on Him, I still think they are a great means of edifying larger groups of Christians and sometimes they can push us a little farther than we’d push ourselves.  Hope it is well worth your time.
